I made a butter iced gateau last nite for my partners birthday but its been in the fridge overnight, is it best served straight from fridge or should i take it out a while before serving ?? thanx

I don't know what is best..I just know I prefer gateau and cake cold cos the cream and icing goes harder and yummy.

But that is just me, it may be better at room temperature as that is how you would serve up a ready made gateau.

So I have been absolutely no help to you at all really. Sorry!

I would say take it out for 10/15 mins to re adjust itself!!!
