Although I don't have the fastest computer on the block, I feel that the webmaster should do something about the way that this site uses up my computer power. No other site I use causes my computer to slow to a crawl like this. My husband (a computer professional of 40 years experience) says that it is because the CPU utilization often hits 100 percent, especially when some adverts are on-screen. (Currently the one for Orange is awful for this.)

Do other users also find this? As far as I'm concerned, it puts me off using the site, which is a pity.

Blandine you need to find a way to stop the pop up ad's, some one did it for me & now I don't get any.

I'm still getting the pop-up ads and yes my computer, which is normally fast has slowed considerably over the last few weeks, I'll get OH to something about it this evening. Today the page has been freezing.

i am really happy with the site although, may be my comp is runing slow because of it but it could be anything wont stop me using this very helpful site

Glad you're happy Gershon but the ebay ad has stopped me from using this site. If something isn't done about it people WILL stop using it so perhaps you should help us by complaining. I couldn't use this "very useful site" for over 24 hours, so not much use then!

You need something to block your pop ups

Have just read the thread on this and have to agree my computer is latest technology and I have noticed it being very naughty lately I keep getting a box coming up that says 'runtime error' and it is driving me insane. I also had a problem with logging in. The pop ups are so annoying and still THERE!!!!!

I emailed the UKTV food about this yesterday (read the other thread but they haven't returned. Also emailed them this afternoon, but no answer. The block-up popper is fighting them really hard but the ebay ad is trying desperately hard to get through. Annoying isn't the word for it!!

Something really ought to be done about it, what's the point of advertising if people are forced to block it because they can't use a site?

Personally cannot see the point of pop ups anyhow, no one I know on this earth champions them, they are just really annoying
