I have some buttermilk, never used it before, but has anyone got a really good scone recipe, useing buttermilk. Wink

plain yoghurt (not greek) with a squeeze of lemon in a good substitute.

even milk with a teaspoon of vinegar will work as buttermilk.

Jamie Oliver also has a really good fruit cobbler recipe using buttermilk in one of his books. Big Grin

I Litre of UHT skimmed milk mixed with a small carton of natural yoghurt will give a total dairy substitute for buttermilk which is afterall almost fat free
