Oh thanks a lot Davina.Hug Hug Hug

Maybe I can actually post my topic as a post now!!!!

It was this......(as I had trouble posting a new topic..see website thread)...

Does anyone else have favourite GFL presenter combinations?

I know most of you have no idea who my favourite co-presenter is Develish but when he isn't on, even though I still love the show, I love it just that smidgen not so much.

The same happens when Jeni isn't on. Even though I love Julie Peasgood (been a fan of hers since Brookie and love her acting) I still miss Jeni.

I also love Lotte, but she always seems to be a guest cook rather than a presenter, correct me if I am wrong though, as I have only been watching GFL 3 months though I have watched UKfood for 2 years! Develish

So without any not so nice remarks about the presenters (which you know means I am not talking about most of you)...who is your favourite GFL presenter, GFL co-presenter and GFL guest chef!

I wonder how many combinations we can come up with...maybe one that GFL hasn't thought of yet!!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

p.s...I did some detective work..I omitted various bits of my original post..and when I tried to post here it still didn't work. then I thought of something..I had put a percentage total for one part of the post, but substituted the word most..and it worked! How bizarre!

Obviously you can't use the percentage sign in a post! Confused Big Grin

I love Jeni, the show is never the same without her.
I love Gino as her co presenter (don't get jealous Brie!) as the two of them work in unison together. They are both funny and bounce off each other (meaning with their ad libs)
I really would love to see Gordon Ramsay as a guest chef, because I think Jeni and Gino would be a great combination to wind him up.Can you imagine the interaction? It would be so funny.
Apart from that, I really enjoy watching Ed Baines,Simon Rimmer,AWT, the list is really endless

I really like Jeni with Simon Rimmer - but I also like ith with Gino and when James Martin is on, he is so scrummy. I too like Julie Peasgood Brie, I remember her from Brookside and she was in Emmerdale as well.

Simon Rimmer, Lotte Duncan, Paul Roseby, Ed Baines and I see Lesley Waters hasn`t been mentioned yet, she`s wonderfully bubbly, has a permanent genuine smile and could present that show in her sleep imho. so, Perm any 2 from that 5 and i`m a happy chappy.

I like the fact that the co-presenter changes every week. I think it keeps it fresh for them and for us. I like everything Silvana does, she has a young approach where food is simple and satisfying. I've not seen her co-present yet (although I've only been addicted to GFL/GFB for 7 months).

If I had my way Ross Burden would be on every day but, sadly, as that is not going to happen I would like to see Ross as guest chef, Paul Hollywood as co-presenter (Ross and Paul make a great comedy duo) with Jeni hosting.

If Jeni were not hosting then the great partnership of Paul Roseby hosting and Lotte Duncan co-hosting would be fab as they work so well together - with Ross guesting of course!!!

Has Ross ever actually co-presented? Now that I would like to see too... a whole week of him or maybe two.... Big Grin

Has to be Jeni presenting! Can't count the number of times Julie Peasegood has asked "Could you ................ instead?", only to be (correctly) answered with a curt "no!"

Co-presenters? Simon, Paul H, Lotte, Gino.

Chefs? Silvana, Giorgio Locatelli, Silvana, Rick Stein, Silvana, Paul Merrett, Silvana, Merrilees Parker, Silvana ... etc. Wink

Ideal combination would have to be Jeni, Paul Hollywood and Silvana!

GFL might i say that i am so glad that Ed is back with Jeni, so sorry it's Friday tomorrow. Please let Ed present on his own, mind you it wouldn't be the same without Jeni!!

Nobody's mentioned the wonderful Tony Tobin - he hasn't been guest presenter for ages, but he's one of my faves. Also votes for the Scouse lads & Lotte.

But the person I would most like to see on the show is the long-suffering Jim! Jeni name-checks him several times a day and I'd love to meet the real thing!

I have to say how delighted I am to see Paul Hollywood back on. It seems he has been away for ages. He and Jeni are electric together. He is absolutely gorgeous - and can bake me a cake anytime.... Develish Develish
