i have lost my recipe for a good orange cake which does not have any butter or flour in and you boil the oranges please help Cry

Its a Turkish recipe that I found on another food website, can't remember which one now but you could try a google search. I'll try to dig it out tomorrow if nobody else can help.

Try having a look at Nigella Lawson's Website (sorry cannot remember the website), she does a Clematine Cake that is made a bit like the way you describe the cake that you would like to make.

This is the one I use --got it from a friend years ago.
2 Large oranges
8 ozs Caster Sugar
8 ozs ground almonds
6 large eggs
1 teaps. baking powder

Prick the oranges and cook in microwave until soft.Cut up and remove any seeds. Puree in food processor/.Add other ingresients Bake for approx 35 mins

My recipe boiled the oranges for about 2 hours, how long does it take to cook oranges in a microwave?

If I remember rightly about 3-4 mins .Allow to cool. I have not done this in a while but it is lovely. Enjoy.

I have a recipe that uses polenta which is very very nice.
