BTW..back to jeni...I had to laugh today (and this isn't dissing her in anyway anyone..I do love her) when she told Gino to stop shouting.....they are both as bad as each other!

My tuppence worth - take away Jeni and you lose everything. Sure, it's a show about food but why have a plain boring show about food when you can have a perfectly good show about food plus so much extra. In short, Jeni makes the show and part of that is her banter with the co-presenters. It's no coincidence that the best shows are the ones where she's teamed with one of the guys who also has a great sense of humour (e.g. Gino, Simon "The Hands" Rimmer, Paul Hollywood). When it's one of the more straight guys, there's something lacking.

There are loads of "food only" shows - GFL gives you extra!

Totally agree with you about Jeni though. I especially love it when it's herself and Gino "The Arms" D'Acampo (swoon). Tip-top-class entertainment.

I agree Slim Jim. Some double acts do need a straight man and the funny one (Morecambe and Wise, Little and Large, cannon and Ball, etc) but Jeni is actually even better when she is with someone as entertaining as herself...I don't know why that should be, but she is!

I think something good happened - may have been the effect of copious amounts of alcohol (i.e. I'm not sure if I remember properly - it was the 10 pm repeat ) but didn't I see Luscious Lotte Duncan on the programme? That was a bit unexpected! Jeni, Gino and Lotte - doesn't get much better than that, does it?
