I just love tamasin's programmes, but she is not on often enough for me - I always seem to miss her. I LOVE her new kitchen and as we are moving back to Scotland soon my dream is to have a kithen similar to hers (perhaps I won't manage the same size though!)

I ALSO REALLY LIKE TAMASIN I DID HER RASPBERRY WHITE CHOCOLATE TART IT WAS GORGEOUS. ONE OF THE THINGS THAT GETS ON MY NERVES IS HER HAIR FLAPPING ABOUT ALL OVER WISH SHE WOULD TIE IT BACK (ITS NOT VERY HYGIENIC) BUT OTHER THAN THAT FIND HER RECIPES VERY GOOD. Wink

I have to take issue with you both, I am afraid - Tamasin does my head in!! With her fancy kitchen, 'FABulous cooker, annoying hair, and the way she chews her food at the front of her mouth like a camel, sorry - she just annoys me! Angry

I agree about the chewing! I like the way she cooks though and at least she looks as though she enjoys her food unlike Delia.

Has anyone noticed how heavy handed she is?! Everything is thrown down with a bang - and I wish she would tie her hair back rather than dusting the kitchen with dandruff.

Mad I agree with many of you, that she is very heavy handed, slamming everything in the oven, when is she going to realise that she has to lift the door up a notch to close it.. and why is her hair always hanging down and that constant flicking back the hair realy irritates me TIE IT BACK. I bet theres been some embarrasing moments when guests have had a long black hair in their food, YUCK

Isn't it what this web site is all about ie commenting on programmes and presenters. I find it amusing to hear what annoys people about a programme or a presenter. Surely we have the right to give our opinions good or bad. We still have freedom of speech in this country or do we! Just because a programme is annoying does not mean we have to switch off! We pay to watch so we have our rights !

Hi Glynis11 I dont think this site is about making derogatory remarks about presenters or chefs/cooks. Infact there is a rule about it too make sure it doesnt happen.

I didnt join this great site to snipe or put down people I did it to learn stuff and meet lots of really great people. Both of which I do. The Tamasin thing has been done to death along with Jenni, Alan and Ainsley. None of its nice or Im sure appreciated by the presenters and chefs who read this site. Gino bless him was looking just a day or so ago. Its a sad state of affairs when the only comments made by some folk are so negative. Yes its a country that still has free speech, so we are luckier than some but we also have the intellect and education to know what a slating is when we see one.

Oh relish I wish sometimes you'll just let it go. Sometimes just sometimes we do like to let it out be it a complimentary or negative comment. Surely if these celebrity chefs, cooks/presenters who put themselves on showcases can take positive comments then they should also also be tough enough to take the opposite, for all we know they probably don't care anyway! What really gets my goat is when some self appointed moderator or spoilsports start bible bashing when they should just take comments that don't appeal to them with a pinch of salt & move on...life's too short.

I still remember when you insulted me on my comments re Tamasin which by the way was totally out of order.

you are forgiven Big Grin and i'm an athiest, so couldnt bible bash if I wanted too Cheeky And trust me I dont want to moderate these boards got enough people on here who do that already!!!. I take it all with a pinch of salt myself. Its just that when I changed career and moved out of the corporate environment, which im sure you will agree is not the most positive place i decided to go into the food business. On the whole its a really postive place to be. Just seeing people write things about people who they dont really know other than the TV persona seems a little unfair. Dont want to make an issue of it but there are rules there so its a great place to post. I think in the early years when I wasnt here I only heard this so dont quote me, it all got a bit out of hand so they put that rule in. Dont get me wrong I agree with loads of comments made I could list the presenters and chefs who REALLY ANNOY me but hey as you say life is too short Hug Wink Now I will go back to running my empire and killing my kids see yah!! Big Grin

I take it you mean me baboush, but no matter how you read it, I did not insult you. Well if you feel I did, then think again about what you and others post about other people, especially the celebrities. You can't have it both ways.

Also, we know very well that they DO care what is said on here, as quite a few of them have posted to thank us for our support after some upsetting remark has been posted.

But I am not religious either, and if you think me a spoilsport...... I think maybe you should read a few more of my posts before making THAT remark. As for the mods, they are paid to keep the rules, unfortunatly the rules are not as clear as they were. But the bottom line is, it is NOT acceptable to keep on an on bashing the chefs and presenters on their own website, lets face it, if it weren't for them, we would not have this forum in the first place, so a little respect for their feelings is in order. As you feel is for yours.

And if you read my other posts you'll see that they are simply from a contributor who just love food and some of the cooks who have inspired me to improve and increase my repertoire in cooking.

So I made ONE comment about TDL (which by the way was really the only negative comment I've made on this forum, which was also agreed by those who replied) & just so happen to be my 1st post as well, but for you Rustie to childishly remark that I'm after FAME was just unacceptable & yes found it insulting. I wonder if you would say sarcastically that I'm looking out for FAME, if I posted a glowing comment instead?

Look, all I'm saying is lighten up a bit and if you wish to defend whoever go ahead but do it diplomatically without personally insulting or attacking the poster who really is just expressing a comment to the intended subject and not to you Rustie.

PS - these days I just don't have time to be so negative, so if I see a negative comment I just contribute in a positive way....like I said life's too short and I think it's a philosophy you should also take on board Rustie. Wink

That is a positive comment is it? Then we differ very much, you made a derogatory comment about Tamasin Day Lewis, and her guest, you followed it up with another, you then had a go at me, then another go at me, both of which I found insulting but did not reply to you because I felt it should rest, but then you brought it up again yesterday, after saying you wished that relishmama would let it go?....... and then you get at me again, and call me childish?

As I said before, if you find that comments made to you upset you, think about the people YOU are making comments about. That is my whole point, I do not need to defend whoever, or myself, they do not need defence, as they have done nothing wrong. You found time to be so negative again here and if I need to lighten up, geeze what does that say about most other people. LOL, LOL, LOL. I don't think I will be following your positive attitude and life being too short philosophy, I really don't need it. But thank you for your advice.

I think Tamasin is GREAT.I have never missed a programme. It always amazed me how she cooked what she did in that tiny kitchen before this new one.Hasn't she got patience with her children? I get on edge waiting for the carrots to be peeled by my daughter!! She makes good wholesome food which makes my mouth water.Aw I'm hungry now just thinking about her delicious dishes!

I think her great too but even if i didnt i wouldnt be rude and say. why dont people either be nice or not say anything like rustie said they should think about other peoples feelings not just there own. i get angry at people like baboush who say what they want and then maon about getting a bit of stick back. luv yours and the others posts on here rustie you all make me laugh and you are all so happy. Smile

I know Rustie needs no back up whatsoever, but I've been following this and I'm afraid I back her comments 100 per cent. The 'feedback' part of this site is not for feedback on people, it's for feedback on programmes! For heaven's sake let's just let it be! Life's too short.

We all have our likes and dislikes, watch them or don't watch them ok? If you don't like a programme then tell them by all means, but if you're not keen on a chef then just say so - don't go into details! Let's face it, based upon what has been said on this site it's hardly constructive criticism is it? None of them are going to get better by reading the rubbish written on here! Apart from anything else, those who do complain about the drivel come under personal criticism from people who don't know anything about them! What's that about? Confused

JUST LEAVE IT!
