I'm so fed-up with the old re-runs not to mention most of them are quite boring.

I want new series of:

Nigel Slater's Real Food
The Best
Surfing Menu

....and bring back Keith Flloyd with a new show!!!!

I agree with the first two and Keith Floyd baboush - I'd also like to see Masterchef (not the Gary Rhodes version), and mad Nancy Lam.

Far too many repeats - boooooring. Smile

yep, i agree, too many repeats, but i spose only so much time for these chefs to put together new info...
they nearly always try and bring out a series if they have just brought out a book, to coincide, so u cheffy chaps and chapesess, more books, more new telly. and more money for u!!! lol..

I always enjoy the two fat ladies, I do like the celebrity ready steady cook but we have seen them all now. A new Jamie Oliver would be good and Keith Floyd and Nancy Lam who is bonkers but so watchable!

The two fat ladies might be a bit difficult as Jennifer died two years ago.
I want to see food and drink back, prime time with AWT.
Jamie Oliver doing what he does best, cook.
sorry dont like Nancy lam.
Nigella doing what she does best, family dinners.
Garry Rhodes doing his fine dining. exquisite!! Cool

I like Gary Rhodes but I didn't like him doing Masterchef and the way it had changed from the Loyd Grossman days. I enjoy two fat ladies too v. much - can't have any new series of those though can we? shame. Not a big fan of Jamie though - well not Naked Chef anyway - I'd watch him if it was a different format - no more wobbly cameras!

Definitely agree with you about AWT and Food and Drink - bring it back!!!!

But what about some original series ideas?

Lotte Duncan on the history of British food; Mitch Tonks with a new slant on fish (Rick Stein isn't the only chef on this planet that cooks fish); Valentina Harris in her cookery school; Ross Burden visiting countries such as Vietnam and Korea; Guy Wolley visiting all the large regional farmer's markets...

There must be so many other ideas out there! What do you think?

Actually - the new programme with Lesley Waters sounds promising - as long as she doesn't kick her leg in the air and shout Whoo too often! Smile

Sorry, I didn't mean a new series of the two lovely fat ladies obviously, but I can watch their repeats forever - have to agree about AWT and food and drink - great prog - I love his Sat morning show too and Oz doing the wine features

Relishmama, you are not going to believe this but it is just over five years since Jennifer died. There is a nice little tribute to her here:

Absolutely more Nigella..though I think I read somewhere she is doing no more cooking shows? Confused

Brie - I think you are right! - however would we concentrate on the FOOD with Gino dressed only in a...!

'kay folks - here's my thoughts. LOADS more Nigella - anyone who can make something to eat and then wind it in almost immediately cos it tastes so good she can't wait has got my vote! Loads more Nigel cos he treats food as a means to create pleasure and also doesn't go overboard with ingredients. I really miss The two Fat Ladies cos I like their quirky comments about such things as supermarkets and plastic bread, and the way they would give a personal history of how they came upon the recipe - sometimes somewhat dubious! but alas we can see them no more. but also folks - more Hugh Fernley Whittingstall! - he could make me breakfast anytime!

Am a bit worried as I am sure I posted this earlier on....I will try again.... with something similar to what I posted!!Eek

Jaybee..me and you are alike..I love HFW..he has inspired me to become more self sufficient..even if he is a little strange! I am growing my own veg and everything due to him!

But Gino in a .......*shuts mouth*

I agree anyway!

I like to see a Ben O'Donoghue series ( Him from the Best & Surfing Menu). His presenting style is brilliant, really knows his food & ingredients. So either a new Surfing Menu ( without that bland Curtis Strange) or new series altogether, heck if they can give other boring new chefs on the block their own shows then Ben is the more deserving one!

So ...so far we have Gino wearing Develish, HFW wearing nothing but a smile to serve breakfast..who said us women only think about the way menlook in cooking!! Big Grin

Can I also suggest Gordon Ramsey making a programme where he has to wear....

Best stop now!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I will be sensible from now on..promise. Wink

I think Silvana Franco (of The Best) should have her own series, I've seen her on Good Food Live a few times, her recipies are usually simple and easy to follow.I think she did really well on "The Best" as she never seemed to have so many expensive ingredients as the others.I understand she has brought out a new book does anyone know the title?
