I 've also had alot of chillies this year. If you put them in olive oil, they're fine as long as they don't float above the level of the oil, or they can go mouldy. I've been pickling mine and this seems to be working fine

Carrie - I'd be interested to know how you grew chilli plants?

Hi Porridge, I grow mine in 10inch pots in John Innis no 3 in the green house. I freeze most and put a few in oil. Seems to work well. Smile

Snap.

I'm in Spain and this is my first pepper growing experience. Just this morning I finally stopped procrastinating and cut up some for the freezer and put some in olive oil.

I have to say, that I had sooooo many that I threw loads out thinking that I wouldn't possible use them all.

Now, thanks to Blondie, I've rescued them from the rubbish and strung them up in the naya. I've always wanted decorative chillies!

Re: growing them, Porridge, I'm told that they are perennial which is a bonus.
