Well it was a good job i watch Good Food Live or i would have missed it as i was informed it was on Good Food Bites..
Eek OMG!!!! I'm never going on telly again I know i'm a big woman but the camera makes you look huge, but besides that it wasn't to bad until that woman made a horrid comment about us women on it, I know i need to sort my weight out, but i'll have her know i do eat heathierly and don't need to be told on UK Television, It only makes me feel worse Angry I feel sorry for Jeni too with her keeping on at her, we can't all be nice and thin and for some people it is very hard to lose weight....

I suppose she thought she was trying to kick people into changing their eating habits. Being overweight myself & having spent what seems like a lifetime trying to lose weight...I do understand where you are coming from. Maybe after today we'll take her advice & start eating healthier & get fitter once & for all. Big Grin

Rachel6 - brilliant appearance. Don't be so hard on yourself.

I wouldn't be offended by that Super Food Lady's comment. She seemed a bit over-zealous overall. I really felt that she just can't help herself.

Interesting to learn about, but I think we'll all be fine continuing as is Big Grin

Thankyou Mary Jane,
but it is still very embarassing watching yourself on telly and you always pick out your worse features. I would like to say thankyou to good Food Live for phoning me and apologising for the comment Dr Jillian McKieth made about me and Sarah it was very thoughtful of them to do that..
I will also say it hasn't put me off the programmme at all i wouldn't boycott it just because of one persons rudeness. It is a FANTASTIC show and i never miss it Smile

I bought the book and have taken about 30 things out of it to compliment my everyday food. For instance I bought Pumpkin Seeds to nibble at when hungry, brown rice is used instead of white. We put sesame seeds or pine nuts over our main meals and reduce the meat slightly.
I know the dr is a bit of a hurricane, but she does talk some real medical sense, and these sorts of things have been released in the press for years, but everyone just thinks of it as cranks food. But the truth does hurt occassionally (Trust me I know.) Just get the book out of the library and then nick a few ideas that you fancy, and see what happens, it is worth it, I promise - Especially when she is talking about energy levels and sex drives etc.
