I recently saw Nigella Lawson do a recipe for deep fried chicken drumsticks. She first poached them in milk, and then coated them before frying them until they were crisp. Can anyone tell me how and what she coated them in please. I have searched on this website but unfortuately they don't seem to have her program listed, even though it was on UK food.

Her Southern-Style Chicken is in the cookbook Nigella Bites - wouldn't have thought I'd be able to give out the recipe though.

Her recipes can't be listed on this website as she owns the copyright to them.

Yeah, thought so ... Jacki you will just have to wait for a repeat or buy the book (there are loads of other delicious recipes in there).

I think I have said before, that Nigella has her own site, and it has a 'chat' page the same as here - but is frequented (if thats the correct word!) by her fans, all of whom have most of her books and who are willing to share the recipes with you if you register etc. Nigella herself doesn't seem to mind either, and often pops in to put her own input!

Sorry forgot to say, can't give you a link or anything cos my computer blew up last week (literally!) and I haven't set everything back up on this one yet. My son and ex-husbans sat up till 5 oclock one day building this one out of spare parts!

Silvana Franco did it too on The Best, her recipes will be listed on the BBC website.

Sorry Mammachef, there are only 2 recipes from The Best series on the BBC site. There are recipes from the 3 chefs, but mainly from Ready Steady Cook and Saturday Kitchen.
They may have been there some time ago, but the BBC have had a springclean and deleted lots of recipes.

Oh what a shame, thanks for that Livewire. I'm ok though, I have the book and it really is one of my favourites. Hence giving it a mention.

Still, shame about them deleting stuff.
