Hi folks, i know we all like to help out with problems so heres mine... I'm trying to think of something different for tomorrow night's dinner..
I've got some fresh-not canned Pease Pudding (which is great cold spread on ham sarnies with pepper or hot with hot pork pies)
but I've got chicken fillets and smoked bacon, and the usual stuff in fridge.........
Now I'l leave it up to you

I did a nice dish on these lines this week, I was sure I had seen it in print somewhere but could find it so had to make it up as best I could - looks like your ingredients would fit: I wrapped my skinned and seasoned chicken fillets in parma ham (you can use your bacon), blanched some savoy cabbage leaves just for 30 seconds and refreshedi in cold water then wrapped the chicken/bacon up in that too. I put some slices of onion and whole unpeeled garlic cloves in a baking dish drizzled a bit of olive oil and placed my chicken cabbage parcels on top. I also put in some fresh tarragon but that is not essential, any herb would do I reckon! I put this in a hot oven, and after about 20 minutes sloshed in some white wine which made a nice sauce - I liked it thin and brothy but you could thicken it with some creme fraiche if you prefer that.
