I know ginger can be frozen and grated when needed, but can the same be done for garlic cloves?

Hi,
Yes it can, because I used to buy frozen crushed garlic from the supermarket.
It came in little cubes, like small ice cubes, and it was really useful....can't seem to find it anymore:-(

I can't get ginger very easily here in Frascati, so when I can I make a paste with garlic/water and freese it in ice tray, really easy when I make curries etc.

Thanks for that. Talking about frozen herbs though, the ones I used to see (Birds Eye) aren't made any more and the only ones I've seen in Sainsbury's are organic ones (with a price to match). Anybody know a supermarket that sells ordinary ones?
