I recently bought some dried honey bananna chips, has anyone got any ideas on what recipe can can use them in. I am not sure if a recipes has asked for fresh bananna, that I can substitute tne dry ones instead, say in a cake recipes for instance. If no one can can help me it will look like I will have to snack on them instead.

hi jack, could always try them crumbled onto luxury ice-cream, or if you want to put them into cakes or the like try soaking them in a warmed liquour or sweet sugar syrup to soften them slightly first...?

Hi Jack. I posted a thread about banana chips some time ago because I seem to have grown them somehow in the back of my cupboard! Anyway, if you type in 'banana chips' in Chat in the above search bar you'll get the thread.

I bashed some up into smallish pieces, soaked them in dark rum and then made up a recipe for rum, raisin and banana chip muffins. The banana chips gave the muffins a nice unusual texture. It perhaps wasn't necessary to soak the banana chips but mine were a bit stale and needed some ooomph! Definitely use rum instead of milk in the batter though.
