Was given a bread machine by my Mum, no instructions etc so have only managed a "guess" at a basic white loaf so far. It turned out ok, well a little too big for the machine so I cut down the ingredients the next time and it was great. Would be interested in trying your coffe cake recipie, could you put walnuts in it?
Can we email each other on this site? if so could you email me the recipie or post it here please

I made gingerbread in mine once and it turned out really dry and not very appetising even though I followed the instructions to the letter. It was really only edible when I heated the slices in the microwave for a few seconds and then spread them with copious amounts of butter.

I haven't tried to make another cake in my breadmaker, unless you count fruit loaf which is always gorgeous. Everything else I've made in the breadmaker has turned out lovely.

I'm not trying to put you off relishmama, really! My recipe was probably wrong with the quantities or something. Sure your coffe cake will be great, let us know!

Hi Relishmama,

I made a cake in my bread machine, but didn't have... erm can't remember if it was baking powder or bicarb, which is apparently a important part of cooking cake in a bread machine, it came out as a brick, tasted good though, tasted like pumpkin pie.
