We're going to be doing pizza with some kids, and as we're rather short on time, I'm wondering whether anyone has any idea on how to cheat. We thought we could use french sticks as the base. Thanks.

Annabel Karmel in her baby and toddler book uses half a muffin as a base - seemed to remember it worked quite well.

Hi Eves, pizza is quick so it depends on what you mean by time. if you had already made the pizza base and frozen it all you would need to do was let it defrost then when you are ready roll it out and pop the fillings on then into the hot oven.

Eves, when I was at school we made mini pizzas using half a bread roll then put it under the grill. Now because I can't eat normal pizzas I have to make my own so I buy ready made bases from the supermarket, then what I don't use I freeze. They defrost in about 30mins less in a really warm kitchen.

The lazy way of doing a decent pizza, there is a bread called Bobollia or something like that, makes a lovely pizza base, you can get it at the bread area of tescos.

Thanks everyone. Will use something soft as some of the kids are quite young, and it will be easier for them to eat.
