CATB -
I have a lovely book by Lorna Rhodes called The Book of Children's Foods, which I have had a long time so I don't know if it will still be available. I bought it for my god-daughter who visited me regularly and she loved to "cook".
It is not a Child's cookbook as such, but a recipe book for Mums, with novel ideas to make good fresh food appealing to children. There are recipes which are very easy and could be done by an 7 year old (and maybe a 3 year old) under mum's supervision e.g. Fruity Pancake Faces, Cheesy Mice, Fun Fish Cakes, Pizzas, Pasta Dishes, Salads, Stir Fries, Biscuits, Muffins, Party Food, Jellies, Ice Cream, Fruity Drinks.
There are over 100 recipes with lovely coloured photographs of the step-by-step instructions and the finished dish.

The following info. may help you to find this book:-

copyright - Salamander Books Ltd. 1992.
Printed in Belgium by Proost International Book Production.
There is a reference no. ISBN 1 85612 123 8.

I have no personal knowledge but read recently about Heston Blumenthal's new book "Family Food" which has a section on recipes to make with your children.

It was a review of the book, just published a couple of months ago and was very complimentary.

Heston is the Head Chef of The Fat Duck restaurant which was recently awarded its third michelin star. Maybe could read about it on amazon?

Perhaps this book may be available at your local library.

Hi, I have two children's cookbooks - one is from the Usborne Farmyard Tales set of books, simply called Children's Cookbook and features the characters from the Farmyard Tales books. It has easy to follow picture stages for young children. The other one is called The Cooking Book, which again is very children friendly.

Have fun!
