There is a new TV show on UKFOOD called taste of ireland, being half irish myself, you'd think I'd be proud to see irish inspired dishes.

But I have to say, I find it profoundly boring, and switch to MTV when it comes on.

Has anyone else seen it?

I go along with you I think it is boring I'm not Irish but it was not my cup of tea. Wearing baseball caps and looking down at food. Good production or what!

New Show??? I am old enough to remember Paul & Jennie Rankin when they first hit TV with this show. I think that was about 10 years ago. Explains the baseball caps if nothing else. Basic techniques are still good today though, as is the quality of ingedients in Eire.

Sorry people but I have to sing the praises of Paul and Jeanie! I love to see them cook together, even though the progs are very old!. And, lets face it, baseball caps are surely better than hair dangling down and potentially getting into the food, of which there have been numerous posts on here! And what about Giorgio today! First we handle the fish, then we brush our hair out of our eyes, then we handle the fish again! Nice! (NOT!)
