Thanks for that Kathy - I had missed the trailers and didn't know this programme was on. Just looked at the TV listings and it starts tomorrow, 8.30am and 4.30pm.

Will there be a book/video from this series??? can't get my video to record this channel..
I was in Kerala earlier this year and had a great time, stayed at Spice Village for a couple of nights, where Reza filmed, and rode an elephant, who looked very similar to Nelly....though it was in a different part of Kerala. Hopefully I'll get to catch a few of these programmes and re live my hols..

Haven't seen the new Reza programme yet but can't wait. I really enjoy watching him. He has such style and is so enthusiastic. Loved him in the programme set in France with Nigel and Nippy.

I am so disappointed with this programme. I love Reza's infectious laugh and flamboyant behaviour - but what has happened to the cooking? So far we have seen very little traditional keralan cuisine - I was hoping to impress my keraln hubby with a dinner like his mother made - but so far have only seen meals that are served up to europeans on holiday in some of the 'nicer establishments'. Keralan food is exciting and delicious - please can't we see some more genuine recipes. My husbands aunts and grandmother cook in pots balanced on 2 bricks over a fire made from empty coconut husks. Their luxury is a gas propane cylinder fuels gas burner which is used when guests come round so they can make tea - as only well off people have proper cookers and most have never seen an oven. They manage to provide me with the most delicious meals when we visit - but due to my inabilty to speak malayalum, I cannot ask them to explain the receipes to me. Why not show the real Kerala instead of the tourist image and cook rreal Keralan food. The Portugues had no influence in Kerala other than in the spice industy -their mark and certainly not in their food! The Portugues influenced Goan cuisine - which is an 18 hour drive from Kerala!!! ( and goodness only knows how long on Nellie!!)

Love the programme. Loved Deli Belly, just don't appreciate the presenter. It's not the fact that he's camp. He seems to be very dismissive of people and looks down on them. He appears to find India quaint. A new presenter would be appreciated.

I agree cauldron888, he is just rude to people, I cringe when I watch him.
His campness is funny but the way he treats people is disgusting.

I know in these countries, market traders are very "in yer face" and annoying, but it doesn't excuse rudeness.

What a disapointmnt this was Reza was camping it up to the point of looking phycotic. Delie Belly was an exahant programe "informative entertaining funny and also great recipies. Coconut coast is a ladrubish I have watched one and a bit and given up. Make a new Delie belly and tell Raza to get a grip

Kitchen Witch...
What a load of rubbish Coconut coast is. Reza is so full of himself that he reminds me of a spoilt child demanding attention. It is more like a tourist guide programme.UKfood is one of my favourite channels but there are 3 programmes I switch off for. One is Coconut coast then Beauty and the feast followed by Nancy Lam.In fact if you put all of the presenters in one studio you could have nancy trying to be funny with Tonia and Simone chasing Reza about with a yoghurt face pack !
Give us more of Jenny and crew.At least they cook and give advice without the 'Prima Donna' effects.

Hi all,

Well I like the diversity of programmes on offer but have to say that whilst Reze is entertaining, he is offish with people I was amazed when he told Nigel somebody or other that his decor was awful in his newly renovated house in France. The programme was about Nigel and his friend Nippi renovating a house in France then opening an Indian restarant. Reze was asked for advice and help with the restaurant, he was offered a roof over his head at Nigels house and so why he felt he should critisize the decor of the house beats me. The restaurant was understandable, he was asked for his opinion, but as a guest in someones house, you wouldn't expect them to pick holes!!!!

The Coconut Coast on the whole is seen as a glimpse of a beautiful culture, with some emphasis on food and another on style. I happen to enjoy Reza as a guide in this journey in the series. I happen to hope for more. There is a bit of humor and entertainment. For those who see Reza's presentation another way, and disagree with much criticism, there are others who say bravo to the information provided by him. Please keep it up, Reza. My friends int he U.S. enjoy immensely the shows and the reruns. Good work.
