I think this show is great but can't seem to find any info or recipes on this website or on Blue Dragon to support the series. Can anyone help?
Also any suggestions as to a good mainstream i.e. sainsbury's etc.? stockist of galangal in the london/homecounties?

Thanks in advance

Just to say I found the very handy info on galangal in the ingredients page - thank you!
And that I found the aussie broadcaster's web page of Kylie, but it would be great to see something on UKfood

Go to google and search using kylie kwong recipes, that'll find her for you.

I love her show, a very refreshing aproach and no 'drunken' camera man.

Hi all,
Sorry I didn't replly immediately about the website but wasn't sure if we were were allowed to post links (I put in Kylie Kwong Heart and Soul) and got ABC's site.
With a similar oriental background to Kylie, I am just in love with the modern twist and added flavours to classic chinese dishes and all the infusion of chinese ingredients and cooking styles with more western dishes. The hokkien noodles today was a great example as was the (funnily enough, though simple) cooking the egg and seperating them out first when making fried rice. I always do them in with everything else which was how we always did it at home. Just keeps the rice from being in egg chunks.
I liked the ice box 'sleep' with the live crab - my dad always knocked them out with a sharp rap, saying it was to keep them from panic (panic=not so tasty).
A tip in case you like the pickles she makes, we always had julienned carrot, green papaya, daikon, chilli, ginger, red pepper and cauliflower in the fridge which my nan always made in nice flower shapes. Sweet, hot and sharp which seemed to go great with meat and fish.

Hi all, I found this recipe by going in to the "Ask Jeeves" web site - typed in Kylie Kwong radical chicken and it was first on the list which appeared.
Ask Jeeves is a great web site - I think you will find anything you are looking for here.

The abc site has details of all the recipes featured in the 8 episodes.

Good series. There is also a book and DVD available of the series.

Passing on info from GFL mods...
New Australian Chinese chef Kylie Kwong and Southern American Ashbell McElveen will be on GFL on Thursday 22nd April. Do you have any questions for them? We will be cooking finger lickin' recipes as the summer approaches...
