Ok my personal fave is THE IVY because even though its quite posh its got all around good food for the whole family. Also if your looking for something cheaper yet still nice i would check out Lemonia in primrose hill area. A great greek restaurant, definately the best in Central London. Great food, service and atmosphere.

The two restaurants in One Aldwych hotel (Axis and ???) on 1 Aldwych are brilliant, very classy, little bit pricey but the food is delicious and service great too, they do special deals for theatre-goers too. Alternatively Thai Silk on Waterloo Road opp the station is great, good prices, liberal servings and really friendly staff!

for sheer indulgence and great ambience, the bombay brasserie is hard to beat. dont go expecting a standard ruby. this is real india, not red and yellow slop.

I adore Bombay Brasserie also, but my favourite Indian restaurant is Chutney Mary on Kings Road, they do a very reasonably priced Sunday lunch set meal and have a little jazz combo going on usually - the restaurant is fab and the service is outstanding - I believe they won a restaurant award for the best room in a restaurant (or they were certainly nominated) I also believe the got best Indian restaurant one year too - couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We went to City Rhodes last year, was very disappointed, food was very rich and the atmosphere was too formal. I would not go back again.

Enjoyed Bombay Brasserie though have been there a few times. The atmosphere is good and the food is great. Not your typical indian, all the dishes are regional and the aromas are something else.

If you want a great night out for abit of treat go to the good old Langans! You will get massive meals (so makes it well worth your money)! The staff are fantastic and freindly and make the over all experience just great! Its good old english food as well as Italian so abit of a mixture which is always nice for a group!

My three faves are the Wolsley, Zuma and Racine. I don't go to Langans because they laughed a t me last time for tipping on top of the service charge - beware. You might also enjoy Yauuatcha and Fino

There are a number of resturants in London that I enjoy including ( lucky me) the usual suspects. There are a couple that I have as current good value favorites. Hush - off new Bond St the brasserie down stairs is lively and great value, the resturant upstairs is more business like and quieter they have a good wine list and dont go silly with prices so you can chhose wine by style and fit not price. Other places I am enjoying pre theatre are Maggiories and Henry's in covent garden. Oh yes and my fav hotel food is at the Connaught great great food as you would expect ( Angella Hartnett / 1 Michelin star ) and good atmosphere albeit a little quiet on ocassions. Wink
