I have been really busy - first visit for weeks - and the last!

The powergen pop up did it.

I am aware the site needs revenue but for me it is now impossible to read the posts - despite pop-up stoppers.

I truly do no know why anybody

i know pop ups are annoying but you get them on the majority of sites that you visit these days. Nobody really likes adverts between tv programmes but its just something we've grown accustomed to.

Hi
I am having huge problems with the British Gas pop up - whatever I dio I just cannot get rid of it!! Reached the point where it obscures so much of my screen I can't read/write posts!
Sorry to moan but I do not have this trouble with any other site!

Oh I love the Briish Gas advert, it appears every time I change pages, so I have seen it a lot and feel qualified to talk about it.

It appears, but if I am really quick ( reminds me of the good old days of video games ) I can quickly click on the cross and close it. Phew gone. Except it isn't always gone and it still crashes down, sometimes on screen with wonderful noisy sound effects, sometimes NOT on the screen, just the wonderful noisy sound effects.

But what I think makes this pop up advert so wonderful is that you can then click on replay and watch and listen to it all over again! and again! and again!

Any chance we can restrict it to once when we log in as with the Greek Waiters Ian?

Please Smile

ps. I have emailed the above post with my feelings about the popup to info@ukfood.tv as Ian Fenn asked us to do when the Greek Waiters were a problem.

Hi Happy New Year to All. Due to work and family constraints I have not been able to Log in as often as I would like , But now the pop-up It will be less. I accept the need for commercials but it totally slows down the site , Please get rid of them

It took me 4 goes to get logged in because of the screen being obscured, but you know what really gets me mad, is that I can't scroll up enough to get shot of the xxxx thing.

I cannot scroll up any higher to find the close cross and can only see the replay button, as if...

fury is looming. Greek dancers are springing to mind. Mad

Well I apprecciate sponsership but I have been posting tonight and sometimes it takes 4 - 5 tries. Surely it shouldn't cover the post box, over and over. No postees, no spondership!!!!!

I have muttered swear words under my breath that have become louder with my frustration and now my family are shouting "what" from the lounge. I think that qualifies them as being affected by the pop ups.

Somebody help us......before it's too late....

I've changed browsers from internet explorer to safari which blocks pop-ups, as I was having the same problems - when the thing dropped the X was off screen so I couldn't get to it. It does make the site totally unusable. I advise anyone with a mac to use safari, it's lovely!

The problem is no one is listening! Sponsorship can come in other guises not just popups. It is pointless and annoying and I see absolutely no reason for it to be there.

No I will not leave the site I have just resigned to turning off the sound and hitting the cross before it appears.

If there is anything in negative advertising it would make me go to the competion..

Wake up Ian listen to what is being said. Please?

I never see powergen italia advertise...

Someone mentioned "wonderful" sound effects, well they aren't wonderful if you wear hearing aids!!!If we have to have pop ups can they be silent ones? This particular one makes me jump sky-high! Angry
I'm not angry really I just wanted to do the smiley....Maybe if I have a heart attack I could sue for millions, they wouldn't be so cost effective then would they.
