Add some English Mustard, it enhances the flavour of the cheese and does not taste "mustardy"

Just looked at my spelling AGAIN!!!!
Anyway. My mother in law taught me to make runny cheese on toast.
Make the toast. Whilst doing this cube some extra strong chedder put in a microwave dish with some milk and zap until the cheese has melted into the milk. When ready pour over the toast.

Sounds yukky but it is georgeous. Unfortunately since I had surgery for my crohns I cant eat it any more. Gawd how I miss it. Try it. Its the ultimate comfort foodSmile

We have a craze on goat's cheese at the moment and I use it like parmesan .. grate some over your melted cheese and it really adds depth to the cheese on toast!

When I was young many many moons ago my mum used to make a "toasted" cheese for tea when I came home from school. It consisted of crumbled Lancashire cheese with a little milk and put between two plates over a pan of simmering water. Once melted it would be poured over toast made with home made bread. Oh bliss!!!!!! But I dread to think how many trillion calories. Remember this was in the days before microwaves too.Just thinking about this has me dribbling!!!!!!!
