tv foodie, and chef de maison-like your posts-do you think celeb chefs-or anyone else who is successfull in life fall into the trap of younger women?

i have been married for 34 years and if i had money,i would have the sense to know that if a younger women was chasing me, it would only be for my money!!!!!!!

even rick stein-my favourite chef, with a passion for sea-food fell into this honey-trap.

confused but thankfully poor!!

could anyone recommend a jug-type kettle which is not noisy-or are they all noisy?

my one sits about 7 feet away from the phone and you cant hear properly on the phone for the noise for about the last minute of boiling-last one was the same!!

or, do i have to stay away from the jug-types?

any help appreciated.

passion, passion, passion-if the presenters are not passionate about the programme, more people will swich-off.

ive seen more passion in a pair of sweaty socks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i truly believe most of us on this site show more passion for food than these terrible presenters.

sorry to be so blunt, but thats how i feel about m.k.

THEIR SHOULD BE NEW PRESENTERS WHO ARE NOT SO "UP-MARKET"-NO PUN INTENDED.

RICK STEIN WHO WAS VERY WELL EDUCATED MANAGES TO COME OVER TO VIEWERS 1000 TIMES BETTER THAN THE PRESENT TEAM.

IM AFRAID IT IS TURNING PEOPLE OFF.

just heard that one of the main objectors to the trump billion dollar golf courses is a counciller who came up from ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT CANT GET ANY WORSE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nothing wrong in being english-unless you medal in local politics-we locals dont like that!

ah well, back to the bought- in chicken kievs that seem to be the in-thing with
our eateries -were years behind you!!

havnt been to a place up here ( im not young) that serves consistant first class food .

note the word consistant.

you will get the occasional good meal, then the next time its poor.

when you watch top class chefs down south, they never let anything go over the pass which isnt to their demanding standards.

i personally, have yet to visit an eatery that does have these high standards-although, i hanvnt been to them all!!

yes we have the produce, but i think the best goes south, along with the best
chefs

i have been to eateries recomended by so-called food reviewers only to be very dissapointed-the reason i think is that the newspapers who write them also rely on these same eateries for their advertising revenue!!

remember this is a very rural area-nothing like the big cities like aberdeen
and thats small in english terms.

as i said a few birds are considered more important than the economy by most of our esteemed councillors-yes,sticks indeed!!!!

baza-thats what they said during the b.s.e.crisis-remember the m.p. eating the burger and giving his kids a bite for the cameras!!!!!!!!

years later infected people were dying from it.

you can inform people, but its up to each individual to make their own mind.

i was looking forward to eating at a world class hotel when donald trump planned to open a billion dollar golf course up here in bleak aberdeenshire (or the sticks as you would call it down south ) unfortunately the bird life seems more important to the councillors than the locals or tourists!

my advice to all you gourmets out there is to think how lucky you are in the south with all its luxury restaurants etc while we up here stick to our bland scottish fare , overcooked and overpriced!

wish i could dine like you!!!
