Hi Cornetto - thanks for the nice message. No have moved from Surrey to Hampshire, Alton to be precise, out into the country a bit more. The move was great, did it over 2 days and they did all the packing. It was so easy, and touch wood we haven't found a thing broken YET as we are still unpacking after 2 months. But it is very nice here and the neighbours are all very friendly. But I must get back into the habit of coming onto the website I have missed it. Thanks again.

I haven't posted since about June because I had been packing and moving house, etc. - what a nightmare that's been. But I thought I would now just have a look to see if opinions had changed about MK and it looks as if they haven't. I have been watching it at lunchtimes and I must admit I like Mathew and Tom together. However Tana and Diana are a tragedy. I have never liked Tana as she puts on airs and graces she need not and her mannerisms are awful. What has happened to Matt. He was great, but not with Tana. The powers that be are still not listening are they. Wish they would!

Hi Tattoed bev - yes Nigella was much better than boring Rhodes. But don't you think the programme organisers could do much better for the weekend viewing?

And most of them are not REAL chefs like we had on GFL. I also find Diana Henry irritating, her voice is very grating. Don't know where she's sprung from, probably a friend of a friend, like the Harts with TPB!!!

PS - how many times can you say UM when cooking monkfish?????

Jack - you really don't need to watch this awful programme all the way through to see what rubbish they are presenting.

I don't need your pity NW - how do you know they are highly respected chefs - where are they from, where do they work, probably not in the NW!! I would have thought. And I don't watch MK I just keep popping back to see if it has got any better and it hasn't!!!

Yup ReedW just seen your message re Boring Rhodes too - this entire channel is getting worse and worse and what a pity as there are so many keen foodies out there wanting to watch decent progs. All we seem to get are repeats and totally and utter rubbish like MK. I think we should all give up and boycott the entire channel!!!!!!!!!!

Can we please have some decent chefs on this awful show, it might make it more watchable!! Have never heard of the two on this week, has anyone else?

A whole weekend of boring Gary Rhodes HOW AWFUL. Do you people at UKTV even put any thought into what you are going to show at weekends? I don't think so. Its a good job the tennis was on to counteract it. But please can you do something about weekend viewing, it is getting worse and worse.

Its really strange that the only people on this thread (i.e. Moniver and JJ3) who actually like MK (or so they say) are recent posters, never posted before!!

I totally agree about TPB and MF presenting the show and getting rid of Tana and Matt, but Rachel Allen I think not. If she calls herself a "chef" and "cooks" a salad of venison with beetroot crisps, that is a definite misnomer. That is all she seems to cook, salads and stews and she is very annoying with it (uses the word "and" far too much). In any case where are all the proper chefs who used to appear on GFL - too expensive to have on this rubbish show I expect.

I have tried really hard to watch MK, but really struggle, especially when Tana is on, she is so smug, and her mannerisms are just really annoying. Its the way she talks down to Matt as well, as if she knows everything better. I do wish they would replace this awful programme, it is starting to really get on my nerves now.

Don't get me wrong NannyB I also love JM and have met him he is such a gentleman, but I do think he is being over-exposed, which is such a shame.

I personally think he is taking everything he is offered just for the money, but what will happen to him in the future. At least AWT etc had the sense to stick at what they know!!!

I think James Martin is being exploited at the moment both on UKTV Food and on normal TV. That thing he was in on Sunday with Titchmarsh was the pits. I only watched it to see James, but I must have blinked and missed him, and that awful Titchmarsh music in the background did my brains in. All of James' old programmes are being played over and over just as Rick Stein was a while ago.

Come on programmers can't you do better than this, you are going to ruin a fabulous person's career if you carry on like this.

Scalywitch, like you I keep delving in to see if MK has got better, but then to find a "MASTER CLASS" on how to chop garlic, which most of us have been doing for years, is a corker. The boring presenters, and even the chefs - Galton Boring Blakiston - are ruining the show (if it could be ruined to start with!). I too am missing my lunchtime fix and miss it very much. MK leaves a lot to be desired if it is to be called a cooking programme!!
