1 heaped tblsp plain flour
2 fave stock cube
gravy salt, careful as quite strong(as says salty),add carefully & keep tasting

mix all to a paste, then gradually add either veg stock or even just boling water to req'd thickness....then add,(again req'd preference),fave brown sauce to give it a kick Develish .It's my own recipe, always has been a big hit with family.Maybe you'll try it Banjo Smile

That sounds real good,so thanks chef I will give it a try, mind you I'm not keen on condensed milk as such, maybe it will taste better after boiling tho'(you definately sure it won't explode without being pierced 1st chef) Eek & could tiptop milk be used as an alternative? Smile

Was gonna post you honeyHug erm....well sort of lol snowlight.I boiled it up again & poured into re-greased tin, while it was bubbling hot & it did start to setRoll Eyes .....it did set better than previously, although, still not hard, but chewy, but better than the fudge stage Smile .I rolled it into individual pieces then put it into a bowl, into the fridge...now it has merged ALL in to one large piece of toffee, rofl,so I will either need to break the dish to get it out, then it will be no goodCry to eat for obvious reasons lol, think I will try to microwave on low setting to see if that will "free" it.This was the saga of my toffee making effort, guess I will stick to buying it eh!!!what you reckon snowlightWinkBest wishes to you. Big Grin Big Grin

Frank if you ever got round to doing the lime pie hope it turned out really good Smile you might like to try Annie Rogers lime cheesecake, absolutely delishus Big Grin if you do search up on left it will be there(i always take care with amounts of limes/juices as they can be deceptive when meauring, always under-use then you can add more to recipe as req'd to your own taste Smile
