After the annoying programme thread..what one UKfood programme would you love to see again and again, and choose if you were told you could only watch one.Eek

I have a huge struggle here as I love 'Star Suppers' as it combines food with Paris, two of my favourite subjects, and I have seen every episode about 10 times.

And I am saying GFL is a given as we all love it to bits.

But if being strictly foodie (oh no, that means I have to rule out Hugh's programmes as well, and I have them all (nearly) on dvd Frown ) I guess I would say...even though I love Jamie and have his dvd's too...'Nigella Bites' as it introduced me to Nigella and a whole new range of cooking and recipies that I had never done before. Plus I love her..she is just so gorgeous.

Blimey...that was a hard choice! (But notice how I sneaked all my other favourites in there too! Big Grin )

cep....we could share? Big Grin

I loved todays eppy....they cooked a whole pig on a spit (poor thing Big Grin he looked like he was smiling) and then the man who cooked it for 6 hours didn't want any.

That happens to me, you do all the cooking, have a wine or two, have a pick at the food, and then you don't want to eat it! Considering I do all the cooking here really, I wonder how I got so big Big Grin

Oooh, that sounds lovely...lucky partner!

I don't know what is best..I just know I prefer gateau and cake cold cos the cream and icing goes harder and yummy.

But that is just me, it may be better at room temperature as that is how you would serve up a ready made gateau.

So I have been absolutely no help to you at all really. Sorry! Hug

It is totally true about the fire as it was on our local 'Look east' programme..but whether all the Branston has really gone, I have no idea!!

I mean, look how we all rushed out to buy salad cream when they said it was being discontinued! Big Grin

Not sure if there is a thread on this..but have you all heard?

The factory in the town near me (Bury st Edmunds) burnt down and it is the only place that makes it! They are not thinking they will be able to go back into full production until January next year at the earliest!

I sent TOH to the shops to buy some as I have to have branston at christmas...and I now have two jars.

But apparently they are starting to sell on E-bay at a terrific price as there is a world shortage!

No more Branston Develish

I so love this series..I am glad it is on again!

Doesn't make me feel so wierd when I do huge 15 course meals for me and TOH, as it goes into peoples houses and shows what they all do for dinners.

And also it is no secret I lurveeeeeeeeee HFW...(though not in quite the same way I love Gino of course) Big Grin

Hi Bananarama and welcome to the boards.

The link here on these boards..[link] if I have stretched the first page now everyone) is for alot of recipes on here for diet, like low fat recipes, etc.

But I am sure others can advise you more than me as I do not eat very healthily!
