The ultimate sharing food has to be chocolate fondue with marshmallows, strawberries, or anything else that happens to be lying about the house!
Or toasted marshmallows

The best kind of fried rice - the chinese way - is to cook the day before, so ive told by a friend of mnine that works in a chinese takeaway - as long as you reheat thoroughly it should be fine! i make myine by heating the pan, adding oil - rice for a short while - then with the egg 'well' in the middle, mixing all the time - means you will get strands throught the rice - liek Ainsleys recipe for chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup!

That title doesnt look to good - does it Cheeky Cheeky
Anyway - question for the team - If there were any plans for a show to do with all things alcoholic - specifically whisky, I could let my father know, since he was voted whisky ambassador of Scotland - I know this is a kidna specialist subject, but if there are any plans - I would be grateful if you could let me know.
Thanks

Another idea for a program - obviously not right away - could be the gifts that we could make for christmas time, i.e. flavoured oils, cakes etc, that taste better the longer they are preserved.

It would have to be a huge plate of cream of broccoli soup with stilton toast on top, then mince n tatties - bein THE most traditional scottish food that everyone likes - but with a huge serving of mushy peas - cooked with bacon - with loads vinegar and salt.
Then homemade apple crumble and custard - then a huge hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream - you only live once - maybe thats why come summer time i can never fit into my "last summers" clothes - cos im like ahamster in the winter!!

Since im not of the most affluent kind - i thought id de different - and i took my step - mother a huge bunch of flowers - since my dad had asked everyone else to give donations to the local school and various charities, since you cant really buy them anything living in a hotel n that - so look out for them on telly - should be pretty exciting - their names are John and Frances - their actually in Glasgow just now doing a whisky exhibition - if anyone goes along to it - let me know cos i wont manage up to it.

This is kinda the same as the thread about the appetizers for the barbeque - except im looking for kebab ideas...

Last year at my sister in laws barbeque - i made chicken tikka kebabs that went down a storm - along with chilli and lamb i think and potatoes & pork on kebabs.

This year - ive been asked to make the same - tikka are def's - I would recommend these to anyone - im catering for around 50 - 60 - and everyone had 2-3 last year tikka alone!!!

But ive been asked to try and make some kind of chinese flavoured chicken kebabs - can anyone recommend a chinese marinade? I would prefer to make my own rather than shop bought - but if anyone strongly recommends shop bought brand - than I shall probably try that.
Thanks

p.s. lets hope the weather gets better!!!
