Hi I get mine from a local deli and have never had a problem buying them which ever part of the UK I have lived in. Also some supermarkets do have them in brine in packs.

Hi does anyone have ideas how to use up Venison Fillet? I have two fillets one I am using today in red wine and shallots, but the other needs to be used tomorrow. It has been frozen so as we are only two people we can only eat so much in one day so I need a recipe that will maybe stand for a few days once cooked. Many Thanks Lisa

Hi Thanks for the recommendations. Im just back after having had a wonderful week in York. Only wish we had stayed longer, we did try The Blue Bicycle and I thought the food was great if not a little over priced. We booked for a special occation (silver wedding). The staff very freindly the setting lovely. My only criticism would be the meal was very rushed by one member of staff, maybe the owner, he was taking our plates away just as we finished the last mouthfull. We also tried the cafe concerto and I thought it was fab, great prices great food. Thanks and I hope your next visit to York is as good as mine.

Believe it or not tradition has it that the Yorkshire Pudding is served as a starter with Roast Beef. As a Yorshire lass myself its something I have always done and my Family have come to love because it gives you a real chance to taste the gravy.
