Kirst2 i can remember my Mother spending hours in the kitchen preparing a buffet in the 60s
Vol-au-vents filled with mushroom and bacon prawns or chesse, cheese and pineapple on sticks, sausages on sticks, little bridge rolls filled with home cooked ham or egg and cress, the salad was always layered lettuce,egg, toms etc,sausage rolls, pork pie, black pudding ,home made piccalilli, pickled onions, trifle, a sponge cake filled jam and cream if it was a special occasion. I will come back if i think of anything else.
