My recipe is similar to the above but I roast the hearts.
Stuff with breadcrumbs, onion, mixed herbs and a small amount of butter

I vowed never to watch MK again after trying it for a week and being bored to tears, but today I had a look to see what was on the UKtv food and Matthew Fort was just completing a dish using monkfish. He casually said to TPB that you could make it with monkfish you had lying around in the fridge!!!!!!!!!!! You must be joking Mr Fort, you may be able to afford monk fish but us punters find it too expensive - except of course as a special treat. Also the amount of booze he put into the dish was ridiculous.

I was unable to get out to the shops and therefore tried tinned tuna which I always keep in my cupboard, turned out lovely, I am going to make the fresh tuna meatballs but as a standby will make these again with the tinned.

I have relayed how I feel about Jeni on another thread but I would like to post another on behalf of my husband
Every lunch time he is shouting at the TV telling Jeni to please be quiet but nevertheless he is the one who reminds me that she is about to start and I know that he like the rest of us will really miss her
Who will listen to him now when he shouts at the TV, he is a real Victor Meldrew but a real fan of Jeni's, I used to threaten him that I would give Jen a ring and tell her to give him a good dressing down in front of all the viewers
Millions of kisses from both of us Jen - hope to see you again soon Hug

I'm delighted to hear that Jeni will not be disappearing from our screens completely
Cannot wait to hear what new show she will be "hosting"
She's been a breath of fresh air and long may she reign
Good luck Jeni and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hug

I agree with everything Rosti has said - an apology should have been forthcoming days ago, before more people wasted their money on this recipe

I have bought a curry concentrate in m y local market, it was much cheaper than the Wing Yip it cost £1.95 for a 250 mg tub and it was gorgeous
There was no web site on the tub but it was called KEEJAYS - highly recommend it
I have also tried MAYFLOWER Chinese style curry sauce mix from Morrisons
and that also is excellent, 9 portions and it only takes 2 minutes on simmer to make
I think I'll give up on the recipes on this site - too expensive Frown

Hi black-cats
I printed out the recipe and I note that it says add all marinade ingredients to the pork and yet in the second stage of the method it says to fry the onion until browned
I am going to have another look before I make this as my OH likes plenty of gravy with his curry
Thanks for making me aware of this
Smile

I was able to find some freeze dried curry leaves in Julian Graves - hope they will do the job
Many thanks - will try Tesco but I had already been there before posting my original question - perhaps I ought to try a Tesco Extra Store

Thanks Snowlight - I don't think I'll bother buying them !!!!!!!
I bought a "normal" crab last week, it took me an age preparing it so the thought of prepping the velvet crabs puts me off buying them

There are cooked velvet crabs for sale in my local Lidl store
How do you eat them, they look so small and don't appear to have much "meat" on them Confused
