Thanks for your help everyone, I'm sure I'll be able to find some now. I just want it to make cornbread but does anyone do anything else with it?

hi Lesley,

I bought mine from Morrisons, it is next to the spices, there is a range of nuts, spices, mainly in large packets, and it come's under 'cornmeal'. Hope that helps.... bye..

Cornmeal is actually the same thing as polenta (in the ground form, not the pre-made slabs). They are both ground maize, and are identical! Polenta is sometimes easier to find in supermarkets... failing that, most Asian grocery stores will have cornmeal in bags near the bulgar wheat and couscous.

Hi lesley -

You are likely to find it in the Baking Section on the Flour and Cake Mixes shelves. Natco is one brand name to look for.
