Hi all.

I'm having a dinner party for friends so fairly relaxed and casual. I've just made a tomato ice cream which is fantastic, all I need is a starter to match it with. I was thinking of a warm puff tart of some sort (tomato and goats cheese, prawn and asparagus, that sort of thing) but because of food intolerances I cant do goats cheese, shellfish or eggs, any ideas?

This may sound wierd bu how about a mini veg crumble you could put egg plant/courgette/toms, you wouldn't need a lot as a starter but with the tomato ice-cream it would be like friut crumble and ice-cream but for a starter instead of a pudding

I would serve it in filo pastry baskets with a tomato couli and a spring onion garnish.
