Can anyone suggest good and interesting places to eat/visit/stay in New York? Any suggestions much apprecaited xx

Zabar deli - not sure of the address but it's in most guides- a fantastic jewish deli with 300 different types of cheeses and just amazing place to visit eat in the dinner attachted to the deli. Have an amazing time and don't in bubba gump resturant in time square as i got exteme food poisoning from the place!!!

Try the bar grill in the basement of Macys brill burgers and the asian chicken salad is so good!

Enjoy and just follow your nose there's plenty of brilliant resturants in new york!!!

Just back from the big apple, Ramseys at the london was lovely for something a bit formal, and B B kings for Sunday lunch with the Harlem Gospel Choir was great craic.

Hi cheeker, i went to New York 3 years ago and one reason i went was to go to the Gotham Bar and Grill. The Chef/owner is called Alfred Portale and i started following his work about 6 years ago when i got bought his first recipe book called The Gotham Bar and Grill. His food is absoulty amazing. To give you an idea i went to Gordon Ramsey`s at Claridges about 6 years ago and that was unbelivable but Alfred Portale blows him out of the water, he is the best! When my wife and myself went there we got my wif`es god mother to book the table for us as she lives in Manhatten and when she booked it she mentioned i was a chef from England, so when we arrived they knew who we were and we got 5 star treatment. Even at the end of the meal Alfred Portale him self came over to our table an had a chat to us for 10mins or so as he was told i was a chef from England.It was the most amzing night.Just type his name in a search engine and have a look at his web site you won`t be dissapointed!
