Hi Viv
Thank you so much for your help - we have a Morrisons (but not a large store) in our town - I will look in the Speciality section - never thought to look there, only looked in the canned fruit. So fingers crossed! With grateful thanks!

Hi Helene4 Thanks for your reply! We stayed for 2 nights at the Hare and Hounds Hotel in Westonbirt Gloucestershire. The figs (which may have been canned?) were obviously very popular as there were none left on the second morning at breakfast! By the way if you like figs you may like to try Activa yoghurts in the Fig variety - huge chunks of fig in natural yoghurt - absolutely delicious! Kind regards Sagalady

I have just been away staying in a UK hotel and every day for breakfast they served delicious whole green figs (served cold but cooked?) I have only seen fresh figs around - usually purple. Does anyone know where can I buy these in a supermarket - are they canned?? I am absolutely hooked! Smile
