My daughter in law has asked me if I would provide sandwiches for the adults at my grandson's 3rd birthday party on Sunday. She is doing all the kids' stuff. There will be around 30 adults and I would like to impress by doing something different with fillings as well as some of the normal. Ideas soon would be much appreciated.

Thanks Livewire - will check up on Tony Tobin's recipe. The French Market was quite small and I think was a trial for the Merchant City festival which is new.

I bought some fresh figs today from a French Market held in Glasgow and I have been searching for a recipe seen on Good Food live a few weeks ago but cannot find it - can anyone help - it included cream and sugar and then roasted under the grill
