The vicar of Dibley gets my vote every time. I wish every church had a Geraldine. You’d get hymns, prayer and free chocolate!

It's gotta be Del Boy. If you want something – from blow up dolls to a mobile phone – he’ll sort you out. Now give me one of your Gold capes!!

Basil Fawlty was and still is most peoples friend/enemy. His barefaced stupidity and ability to put up with Sybil, Manuel ( him from Barcelona ) and all the messes he gets into is worth an oscar. His heroism in beating his car with a branch shows just how great he was. You can't help but laugh time and time again. There's a bit of him in all of us, that's why he's my hero.

Ronnie Barker was an absolute hero of comedy. Unsurpassed to this day.

They say that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Rowan Atkinson in his role of Blackadder has made sarcasm the highest form of wit......it sure makes me laugh!!!!

The comedy superhero is......Victor Meldruw! Mr angry! He could stop people with his grumpy stare, melt them with his moany words, imagine his special grump powers stopping the baddies in their tracks. Put Meldrew in a room with happy clappy Vicar of Dibley and we know which one would come out the best!!

Mon 5 Mar 2007, 8.11PM
Vicar of Dibley could smother Meldrew - she's so kind and lovely she'd be a Supernicelady superhero!!!!!!
Geraldine's my vote for super heroine

Basil Fawlty: ARSE I have to put up with from you people. You ponce in here expecting to be waited on hand and foot, while I'm trying to run a hotel here. Have you any idea of how much there is to do? Do you ever think of that? Of course not, you're all too busy sticking your noses into every corner, poking around for things to complain about, aren't you? Well let me tell you something - this is exactly how Nazi Germany started. A lot of layabouts with nothing better to do than to cause trouble. Well I've had fifteen years of pandering to the likes of you, and I've had enough. I've had it. Come on, pack your bags and get out.

Delboy gets my vote.
He's the only person who could sell you a sun dial, strap it on your wrist and call it a watch!

You've left Reginald Iolanthe Perrin off of your list. How could you. His rise and fall were the most hilarious moments on TV in the last century. And what about his alter ego Rigsby? How many other comedians were so funny they did commercials as well? Eh? Eh? Can't answer that can you?
Mon 5 Mar 2007, 9.59PM
Of course Delboy wins hands down, he’s a national hero.

Del Boy was so believable. He was more than a comedy hero, he was everyone's friend.

Geraldine Granger incapsulates everything that I love about being English she is Warm, Loving, Funny, Kind, Spiritual, she can laugh at herself, she is passionate, Traditional although happy to embrace the future, forgiving, she cares, she loves animals, she is realistic, compassionate, she is brave, she is A REAL PERSON, not someone who just blends in with a crowd. She has an opinion and is willing to listen to others and change her mind.I think the Actress was type cast or she is a better Actress than I could ever imagine.

Patsy is my Ab Fab super hero,
When her blood alcohol level hits ten zero,
She'd pickle the villains with Bolly,
or possibly Stolly,
She'd quite happily spent every dime of their lolly,
Then she'd jet off to Rio de Janeiro!
I could think of no super hero harder,
Though her outfit would have to be Prada,
You could coax her with Caviar out of your larder,
She may settle for Gucci,
Or possibly Pucci,
And she'd demand oiled naked men to guard her.
Yep my vote is definitely for Pats,
And Edwina'd be Robin to her Bats,
You could imagine them in lycra now couldn't you chaps?
They'd be some 'tour de force',
With their voices Marlboro hoxxxx,
And believe me they'd fight like mad cats!?*

Vicar of Dibley everytime
Dibley's darling is our girl

Her flying cassock is a hero for you

I loved it when Alan Partridge shouted aha and when the whole Christmas special went wrong. Partridge is funniest one.
