Hiya
Anyone else have problems with the Classic Tom Baker DrWho sound??
Doesnt happen when watched live but If I record it on my Amstrad Sky+ I get sound drops.
The drops are for about half a second each.
If Im lucky I just get one at the start of the credits and then the rest of the episode is okay. If Im unlucky it happens about every 3-minutes through the episode.
Ive had 3 new sky+ boxes over the past 5-weeks (because of a different fault) and it has happened with all of them. It also happens with my best friends Amstrad Sky+ box too.
My Dads Pace box seems to be unaffected.
So not sure if this is a quirk of the Amstrad boxes and if so, is it in incompatibility issue related to the softwares box or UKTVs transmission??
Does anyone else get this please and anyone have any info on it please?
Would also be interested to know if anyone has the current Amstrad model and finds that it DOESNT happen.
Thanks a lot for your time folks
Cheers

Has nobody any info on this then please??
Not even a UKTV employee with any info on the transmission of these episodes (someone has suggested its the way the stereo sound is handled)?
Please any advice would be appreciated.

I've got a Thomson Sky box (not Sky+) and I use a DVD recorder to record Dr Who. I have had exactly the same problem with the sound drops but only over the last few months. Before that the sound was fine.
Can anyone help with this?
Andrew
