Smile Hello, me again with another question...

Could someone please explain WHY random episodes of various series of Judge John Deed are broadcast in a willy-nilly fashion?? WHY do these episodes appear on one day only... then nothing for several weeks... and then a completely different series some weeks later... and so on??

I appeal to the person responsible for scheduling these programmes to please do this with some regularity to the series being shown? Either that or could the BBC please please issue the DVDs of series 3-6 of Judge John Deed so that we don't have to scour the schedule of UKTV Drama each week in the hope that an episode (dare we hope for more than one per week?!) of Judge John Deed is shown.

Thanks very much.

Hi Roxymusic, I couldn't agree more with your comments regarding JJD. I have been on this message board many times saying the same thing. I am a huge devotee of this series, and especially of Martin Shaw. I think the BBC are being soooo slow over issuing the Dvd's - I have also written to them Mad Maybe if we keep on someone will do something.

Hi aussiejudy, Yes at last the BBC have decided to release more JJD on Dvd. They are advertising this box set on their official web site so it must be correct. I suppose we may have to wait nearly another year for series 5&6 but this will keep us going for the time being. We also have Martins new 2 parter called "Apparitions" which should be showing at the end of January 2008 in England and also 2 new episodes of "George Gently", so it should be good.

Hi Vitaliano.......thanks very much for your reply.....fanastic I will have to order the new DVD's from Amazon UK like I did for season 1 & 2. As for "Apparitions" &"George Gently" I will keep an eye out for them here in Australia although we probably won't get them unfortunately...

Hi aussiejudy, I have just seen the cover of the JJD Box Set - really great pictures of Martin. Also watch out for "Cranford" when it shows in Australia. He turns up in the last episode (about 10 minutes from the end) - looking really nice with a beard and multi-coloured waistcoat etc. Big Grin I hope you will get "Apparitions" over there - it is a 2 parter and from some of the pictures I have seen it looks to be very good.

Hi aussiejudy, Wondered if you had picked up your JJD series 3 & 4 Dvd box set - I have mine which means I can discard all my videos.

Hi aussiejudy, Even more good news on the JJD front. Jenny Seagrove was recently interviewed on British t.v. and said that she had just been handed a new script for more JJD episodes Big Grin Hopefully they can get the whole cast back and do another series Wink
