hey guys - can anyone tell me the name of the opera track that's playing when he's in the alps teaching us all about mountain survuval? i think it's Extreme Survival: s2e5 if that helps at all. It was part of a techno track I used to listen to years ago and it brought back some amazing memories.

thanks in advance Smile

Whoa, asked the original question almost a year ago and forgot to post my thanks (thanks!). Great to see so many people insterested in the music used in Ray Mears' many TV shows.

Hi all
In Ray Mears Bushcraft, when he visits Sweden, there's a piece of music playing when he returns to Sweden and travels by dog sled, he states something similar to "The land is more accessible either by snow mobile or dog sled, something I've always wanted to try".
It sounds like Moby but I honestly have no idea.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi all

The Ray Mears music at the end of the Hadza in Tanzania is "This is the time" by Dreamcatcher.

Hi all - Fantastic forum, and thanks to all for their entries of tracks so far. I'm building up a great album of Ray Mears Tracks. The man really is a living legend...

There is an opening track to the Ray Mears Extreme Survival - Jungle Survival when Ray is paddling along a river in Costa Rica. I can't describe or hum it, but it's the very opening track. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be very appreciative. Big Grin

Cheers!

I don't think it's the very first track on the episode, but you might wanna check out DJ Shadow - Giving Up The Ghost, as it's featured near the start of the episode (and whilst Ray is paddling I believe).

Hi

Does anyone know the mellow piano and strings piece played intermittently through episode 5 of "Wild Food", at the start when Ray is talking about Colonsay off Scotland and at the end of the episode where they are feeding the crew from a spit roasted boar?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Lone - thanks for the reply - I downloaded that track as another of my Ray Mears compilations, so thanks for the heads up on that...

Another one this time - there's a track playing on the Extreme Series, Arizona Desert episode where he's constructing a 'Wickyup' (No comments on spelling please!). The track features a tune from a Bond Movie (I think its You Only Live Twice) which is splendid - any ideas anyone?

Thanks guys, Sparkster71 Big Grin
