erm...perhaps try contacting some production companies...instead of writing to broadcasters who are unlikely to have much in the way of tv production.

woah there...first off, apologies haseeb but i don't get what you mean. like i said, best to contact production companies.
the work experience people, well the same applies really. i guess you want production experience in which case a broadcaster isn't the best place to do a placement anyway. but if thats what you want, try writing rather than posting on their website.
good luck

Out of curiosity... do you only hire people with actual experience? Because everybody has to start somewhere, and get their experience from somewhere. My qualifications in Performing Arts won't help me here I'm guessing?

yes everybody has to start somewhere, that's why everyone does work experience...! it's not handed to people on a plate because everyone wants to be in meeja. it's the ones that graft that will get there...

and what kind of job are you after? the only job i can think of that a qualification in performing arts will help is performing...which uktv won't be able to help you with...

Nowhere on your page do you include what opportunities there are for people with disabilities learning or otherwise. Do you currently run any schemes Angry

Hello UKTV. I have just graduated from the University of Brighton with a 2:1 degree in International Retail Marketing. I am inquiring about possible vacancies in your marketing department. How would one go about applying? Thank you, Soumya.

Dear UKTV
I currently work for Channel 4 on their 4oD service as an ingest and transcoding operative. Before this I worked for ITV on their broadband TV service encoding, editing, sceduling and heading a team of encoders. Could you tell me if you have any vacancies in this area, or if there will be scope in the near future for someone with my skills?

many thanks

Andy

you know, i don't think uktv are going to post on public messageboards if/what jobs are available.

could be wrong...but i'd still think the best bet would be to keep an eye out in the trade mags and papers or actually email uktv properly.

though probably worth reiterating for some of the other posters, uktv is a broadcaster first and foremost. people wanting jobs in production are really better off writing to a production company.

i did b.sc in home economics and the major subject was nutrition. I would love to work in the fields of nutrition, interior designing and any work for writing, as these are my area of interest. With that i am also a student, so i want part time online job.I shall be obliged on considering me.
