So Dave is aimed at 16-35 year old males on freeview. Presumably, as it is replacing UKTV Brightideas, it will have the same time slot of 6am to 6pm. Apart from weekends, how many males in that age bracket are going to be around to watch it? Confused

apparently its gonna be on from 7 am to 3am... I think thats what it was... I don't really see the point in the rebranding to be honest! Confused

I was watching Dave more often than the other channels last week - its a good dip-in, dip-out channel.

Faves are Whose Line, Buzzcocks, Have I got News for You.

I'm a female and i watch it, so why are so many strange people saying it's sexist? Not all of us are naggy, just thoose ones... name it 'RHOADY THE CHICKEN!!!"

Women who object to the name need to get a life, obviously. I'm a bird and I think the name is great.

It wouldn't be so sexist if they didn't just change it! They made a conscious choice to do that. If it was Dave all along it would be fine, but I'm a girl and I've been watching this channel for years; I doubt as many guys watch it as girls do!

It's a rubbish name 'Dave' , much as I love the shows.

Like I said, a life is required....

A new name is required...one that's not such dross.

Is it really that important? For us lowly freeviwers who haven't had the privilege until now I'm sure the name really isn't important. It's better than the old name that's for sure!

I am really enjoying Dave but where are my cookery programmes - I really can't be dealing with Top Gear when I'm ironing while the kids are at school - how about a balance of Bright Ideas during the day and Dave in the evenings Wink

Cookery progs!!! I came to Dave to get away from all that rubbish!! There's plenty of ****** cookery progs on other channels if that's what you want! As for the name change, it worked for me, bcoz I never noticed it in amoungst all the other channels b4, but rebranding it brought it and a lot of my fav tv shows to my attention! It is prob my most watched channel now!! :-)

...oh and I think the 16-35 male demographic is incorrect btw! I think this channel appeals to the boy and tomboy in all of us whatever age! Is QI, aQoS, or Ray Mears for 16yr old guys?? More feminist nonsense........... Cheeky

If you want cookery progs you're, evidently, in the wrong place. I agree with jezza, I came to Dave to avoid all the women's stuff! So, ladies, if you can't iron to Top Gear, switch over and watch something else??

Gold some times shows Black adder. Reckon if we kept watching it when ever it's on the rateings would noticeably rise and haft to show more.

Lol, did you have a moment dear? hehe

Blackadder certainly should be on Dave. The Freeviwers can't influence the ratings on Gold, but we can cheer you on from the side.

Dave - Yup on balance I think this is a good addition to the freeview progs. BUT, I MISS UKTV in the evening. I am also a fan of Top Gear - but won't showing it over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over-and-over get just a lot boring?

BTW isn't it about time that Top Gear got some new blood? The three stooges are getting a bit too comfortable. A lass would be nice!

Noo! The Top Gear team are perfect as they are. If you want a motor show with a lass in it, watch Fifth Gear!

Chris, you should probebly try Fifth Gear. They copy off of Top Gear so it's no real loss. Even Clarkson said they were copying.

Chris240, Top Gear wouldn't work without the 3 stooges. New blood? Only when one of those 3 DIE. A woman would be insufferable on Top Gear.
