the land rover is the best 4x4xfar and the best one is the defender, you have to grow up with them to really appreciate what a 4x4 it is, they're not really bad for the enviroment its just people who haven't quite caught on to the goverment finding more ways of getting your hard earned money. defender rules!

BMW X5 is one of the best 4x4 cars, my dad has one, it's fast and beautiful.
but not better than Porsche cayenne turbo, it drinks less fuel than range rover and cost lesser too.
Porsche cayenne turbo = £85.000
range rover = £69,000
BMW X5 = £30,000 to £45,000

The defender is at the top of its class its great off road its not rubbish like a bmw x5 or a American 4x4 the British make the best 4x4 if you ask me and the land rover flys the English flag for 4x4 and its a super 4x4 i had one and we had a laugh in it on off road because everyone was falling about in the back.

No-one can fall about in the back of the new Defender, at least not if they're seated. The old versions had four side-facing seats in the back, but new EU rules nixed that, so now there's only two. Remember those stories about the guy who managed to get a nine-seat Defender certified as a minibus for free entry into London's congestion charge? Couldn't do that now with a maximum of seven seats.

The land rover Devender is the only one in this class that will tackle obsticals.Sure its uncomfotable but its a 4x4 what are you going to do have a cup of tea while driveing over bolders and ditchs.The others are just big wheels with make up.

defender is best car by far. classic looks and rugged performance always a winner. you can tell they are good as farmers use them and they put them through their paces dont they. some farmers are still using defenders from the 70's.

The new Defender brings luxuries to a car that over the years has been as rugged inside as it looks on the outside.
Where as all the other 4x4's are for prodominantly road use the Defender is the only true offroader.

The Nissan X-trail does not care for back seats, back in more stuff in the back fora life with just you and the great car! P.S ESPACE IS EVERYTHING. Also, the Freelander IS there, I ALMOST voted for it and then degreded it because in a 4x4 I HATE seats, love the car.
