the coverage on dave aint as good, its like shakedown more talk than action. itv had more action, even tho i like daves new content it aint as good. like in monte carlo we dint even see any of it mostly talk and seeing loeb eat a cake! plus they are replaying old content from itv4 from last year like crashes etc, they hadnt even changed the title on them

I am glad Dave has the WRC coverage and I am surprised at the xxxxging it's getting. ITV ruined the coverage of this sport by firing the presenters and taking a moronic feed from the WRC. I wrote to ITV to complain several times and didn't get a reply. Now we are back to a format more like that of Channel4 a few years back. Thank god ! Yes we could do with less reliance on in-car shots and yes we need more cameras on stage but it is massive improvement on ITV4. I like the presenter who has a good rapport with the drivers and teams.

To everyone complaining about the WRC coverage on DAVE,
you will never be happy. you reminice about how ITV and CH4 did a better job... a very blinkered view clouded with a poor memory of all that was bad about it. A lot of your comments show how unknowlegeable about the sport you are.
Go and watch it on Eurosport... you are watching the same feed footage but without DAVE's excellent seamless added content relative to the UK audiance. I am not aware of Eurosport covering PWRC or JWRC which is of great importance and interest to Rally fans. Does Eurosport have a regular news section? does Eurosport keep you informed about Mathew Wilson, Guy Wilks, Shaun Gallagher and other Brits out on the WRC (or indeed info of anyone outside the top 8)?
Neil Cole IS a knowlegeable presenter. He has to be informing to both seasoned rally fans as well as those who have never watched the sport before. As there isnt two programmes (one for novices & one for experts), he is doing a great job. Has any other commentator given us such close contact with the drivers at the right moments (notice other journalists 'behind' Neil) includind seemingly special access in team service areas?
Neil gives a spectators view of each rally but with the extra bonus of knowing what is happening through the event (Something us spectators are used to). With F1 on ITV.. apart from the circuit... what else tells you that your in a different country from two weeks earlier?.. WRC on DAVE does a good job of conveying all the different attributes of each WRC round (something unique to Rallying and being a rally spectator).
Remember, CH4 dropped it, ITV dropped it.
To provide coverage of WRC is not an easy task at all (do you have any idea what is required to cover the sport?) and DAVE have made a huge effort to give us a bit more than the standard WRC feed and at a good time slot with three repeat programmes each week in regular time slots. .... No one else in UK wants to show the WRC

I have been a rally fan for over 25 yrs and as well as a spectator, am involved at an organising level and have given a tremendous amount of time and effort into the sport including WRC level. I would be extremely annoyed if i had my efforts shot down like the way you have with the TV coverage. How much have you payed DAVE to watch WRC programmes? it is free to air and therefore i can say ....you payed 'nothing'. Constuctive critisism is always welcome by any organisation, but many of you have gone well beyond that.

There is better WRC coverage and I sat and watched it for the first time tonight (Rally New Zealand). It is on S4C Wales and it's called "ralio" and I think personally Dave should take a leaf from out of it's book. The only drawbacks are that it is only 45 minutes long and in Welsh but packs much more into it. Not only did I get to see the Francois Duval crash that Dave omitted as well as a fleeting look at the Suzuki's but they also keep you updated with events in the British Rally Championship with the likes of Evans, Wilks and Higgins. They also have two experienced ex co-drivers doing commentary. It is very professionally done and was very enjoyable to watch. Even though it was in Welsh that didn't spoil things at all. Very well put together I thought. Sort it out Dave. You've got competition out there and it's called "Ralio".

dave aint 2 bad now, unlike the start of the eyar where they ruined monte carlo that was the worst iv ever seen! but they do use some of the proper wrc coverage with neil cole, its better now they have a proper presenter like itv and channel 4 but channel 4 was the best they did it how it should be! shame they aint still doin it really.
