Honey and Mustard Burger

Method

 
1. First make the honey & mustard mayonnaise. Put the egg yolk in a bowl and slowly whisk in the vegetable oil.

2. Then whisk in the honey, followed by the mustard and vinegar and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.

3. Cook the burger to taste and put it on one half of the burger bun. Layer over the Emmental cheese, red onion, tomato, gherkin and lettuce. Smear the mayonnaise on the other half of the burger bun, put it on top of the other half and serve at once.

Ingredients

1 beef, burger
1 burger bun, sliced in half
1 pinch Emmental, grated
1 red onion, chopped
1 tomato, sliced
1 gherkin
0.25 iceberg lettuce, shredded

For the honey & mustard mayonnaise

1 egg yolk, at room temperature
200ml vegetable oil
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 pinch salt and fresh ground black pepper
